Every device in your network — accounted for

IT auditors and security teams share the same problem: they cannot protect what they cannot see.

Shadow hardware — a personal laptop plugged into an office switch, an unregistered workstation running unlicensed software, a server added without a change ticket — sits outside every policy, every patch cycle, and every compliance checklist until something goes wrong.

Anexet Inventory builds a live asset register automatically. The agent running on each workstation reports its full hardware bill of materials — mainboard, CPU, RAM, storage, PSU, monitors, keyboards, network adapters, and portable devices — along with every installed application and its version. No spreadsheet. No manual audit walk. No gap between what IT thinks is there and what is actually connected.

The same view that gives IT-operations teams their CMDB baseline gives IT-security teams a compliance lens: which devices match the approved configuration, which do not, and which appeared on the network without authorization. Because everything runs on-premise inside your own perimeter, asset data never leaves the organization.

Why it matters

  • Complete asset visibility

Every managed workstation, laptop, and server reports its full hardware bill of materials and software list — automatically, without a manual audit.

  • Security and compliance lens

See which devices match the approved configuration, which do not, and which appeared without authorization — all from a single console view.

  • On-premise, no vendor access

Asset data, serial numbers, and employee records stay inside your own infrastructure. The vendor has no access to any of it.

Full Asset Coverage — Hardware, Software & Network

All inventory capabilities are available in the Premium plan.

Webcams, headsets, and microphones attached to the workstation at the time of scan.

  • Keyboards & pointing devices

    Premium

    Input peripherals recorded per device.

  • Network adapters

    Premium

Wired and Wi-Fi network cards identified per workstation.

  • Portable devices

    Premium

USB storage, phones, and other connected peripherals recorded at the time of scan.

  • Resource-load monitoring

    Premium

Real-time and historical readings of CPU utilization, RAM usage, and disk load per workstation — visible in each device's asset card.

  • Office and device map

    Premium

Visual floor-plan map showing device placement across office locations, with a direct link to the audio/video monitoring view for each workstation.

  • Workstation geolocation

    Premium

Tracks the geographic position of workstations and lets you bind each device to its allowed locations. The map shows workstations alongside office locations, and flags unexpected movement or a location change — useful for remote employees and for spotting equipment moved without authorization.

  • Wi-Fi network visibility

    Premium

Shows every Wi-Fi network a workstation has detected, with connection type and signal strength, also available from the agent topology view — so you can tell whether an employee is working from the office, remotely, or on an insecure network and assess data-leak risk accordingly.

Coverage of portable devices and PSU serial numbers follows what the endpoint operating system reports; our team walks through the exact fields for your fleet during the demo.

What Anexet Captures on the Endpoint

The Anexet endpoint agent collects the full hardware bill of materials, installed software list, resource-load readings, and network data at configurable intervals — all without deploying a separate inventory agent. Because the same agent already handles DLP and activity monitoring, inventory data arrives alongside security events in a single unified console.

Everything is stored inside your own infrastructure. Scinero Software Limited operates entirely on-premise and has no access to your hardware profiles, software lists, employee records, or any other data collected by Anexet.

How IT Asset Inventory Works

Four steps from an endpoint scan to a live, alerting asset register.

The Anexet endpoint agent — already installed for DLP and activity monitoring — collects hardware and software data at configurable intervals. No separate inventory agent is needed.

1

Asset records are forwarded to the Inventory Server component (part of the Premium deployment), which aggregates, deduplicates, and stores hardware profiles, software lists, resource readings, and network data inside your own infrastructure.

2

The Client Console presents a Hardware & Software section with individual device cards, filterable asset tables, the office map, the geolocation view, and a Wi-Fi view (also reachable from the agent topology view) listing every detected network with its connection type and signal strength. Security policies can reference asset data — for example, alerting when a device deviates from its approved configuration.

3

When an active device does not match the approved configuration, when a new unregistered device appears, when a workstation becomes inoperative, or when a device is detected outside its expected location, the system raises an alert so IT and security staff can act without waiting for a periodic manual audit.

Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions about Anexet's hardware and software inventory module.

What is IT asset inventory software?

IT asset inventory software automatically discovers and records the hardware components and installed applications on every managed workstation, laptop, and server in your network. Anexet does this on-premise via its endpoint agent, storing the full asset register — including serial numbers, peripherals, and software versions — inside your own infrastructure, without any data leaving your organization.

Yes. Anexet is deployed entirely on-premise inside your own infrastructure. The vendor, Scinero Software Limited, has no access to your asset data, employee records, or any other information collected by the system.

No. Anexet is deployed on-premise; the vendor has no access to your data.

Hardware and software inventory comes with the Premium plan, alongside DLP and employee activity monitoring. Details for your deployment are confirmed during the demo.

Anexet inventories PCs, laptops, and servers, plus attached peripherals: monitors, multimedia devices, keyboards, network adapters, and portable devices. Hardware records include serial numbers for components such as CPU, RAM, storage, and PSU where the operating system exposes them.

Yes. Anexet tracks the geographic position of workstations and lets you bind each device to its allowed locations. The map view shows workstations alongside office locations, and raises an alert on unexpected movement or a location change — useful for tracking laptops used by remote or field employees, or identifying equipment that has been moved without authorization.

Yes. Anexet shows every Wi-Fi network a workstation has detected, along with connection type and signal strength. The same visibility is also available from the agent topology view. This lets security teams tell whether an employee is working from the office, remotely, or over a potentially insecure network, and act before sensitive data is exposed.

Anexet alerts when an active device does not match the approved configuration and when previously unseen devices appear on endpoints. For dedicated rogue/unauthorized-device detection across the network, see the related page on unauthorized device detection.
